This print is a variation based on my oil painting ‘Cannonballer 38’.

‘These series of Cannonball paintings are captured moments of an explosion. An age old attempt at disrupting serenity by jumping into water curled up and creating the biggest splash. They are made by adding oil paint directly on to the canvas and allowing the painterly process to take the lead. In a sense, mirroring the unexpected, varied attempts at creating a splash in water and searching for the instant someone goes from real to abstracted. A jump into a realm beyond, from serene to beautiful chaos.’ – BA
