I’ve been working on a new body of paintings these last couple of years alongside the work I’ve been showing here on IG. Here’s one of them.. Seascape #2 Oil on linen 80 x 71in (203.2 x 180.34cm) 2023
I call them seascapes but they really are experiences. Based on my deep affection and time in the ocean.
I’ve always felt an underlying energy in the world, I feel we contain that energy and live because of it and tap into it even more when in nature. These paintings are representations of that concept. More to come 🙌🤙.

Loving working more abstract. I think water has always been a way for me to deconstruct the figure. Especially with the cannonballers. My dad and I have been chatting quite a bit about our work and as an experiment dabbled with chatGPT and our statements on our art to see what would happen: here’s part of my AI artist statement that actually rings true:

Here’s a time lapse from a cannonballer painting this week. Not finished but getting there. For these I end up mixing the oil paint directly on the canvas and painting them is (usually) quite a cathartic experience for me.
